We have remodeled rooms open while our new building construction, built in phases, is underway!  We are excited to share the Sunrise Motel transformation has started. We have plans and permits for a brand-new Sunrise Resort facility in the same footprint as the 1953 building, but designed for more tranquility and comfort, better diver amenities and a view you cannot beat from the lobby, private balcony decks and multi-purpose conference area. The fresh new look has better sound proofing, bathrooms and kitchens  on the roadside, and beds and sitting areas facing the water.

The first phase took down four rooms at the south end of the building past the breezeway to the hot tub and brings nine new king and queen hotel style rooms, expected to be completed in summer 2025.

The second phase includes six new kitchen suites by late fall 2025. The last phase includes more rooms, a new diver services area with an indoor heated area for gear up, dry room, air fills, restroom and  storage. Also on the lower level is a multi-purpose room, formerly known as the bunkhouse convertible for bunks for groups with a full kitchen, or celebrations such as reunions, weddings, training or retreats.

The last phase of the new building should be complete in 2026 for a total of twenty-one new rooms in addition to our two-bedroom cottage and house, and a new pier, gangway and dock shortly after the new building is up. We appreciate your patience during construction and are excited to serve you now and throughout our transformation. We have amazing guests and are thrilled to upgrade the Sunrise for generations to enjoy together and make memories together for decades!
